Seminar and Lab Visit Program for Prospective Mechanical Engineering Students

The Mechanical Engineering Department recently organized a one-day seminar focusing on career opportunities and the life journey of a mechanical engineer. This event aimed to provide both current and potential students with valuable insights into the field of mechanical engineering.

The program commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. Arun K. L., Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. He provided an informative overview of the department, highlighting its strengths and achievements. Following this, Dr. Unnikrishnan M. A., Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department, conducted an engaging session on the new B.Tech curriculum and the myriad opportunities it offers to aspiring engineers.

Mr. Muhammed Arif then captivated the audience with an inspiring talk on the life journey of a mechanical engineer. His session was particularly well-received, as it provided a real-world perspective on the challenges and rewards of pursuing a career in mechanical engineering.Our esteemed Principal, Dr. T. Mathavaraj Ravikumar, honored Mr. Muhammed Arif with a token of appreciation for his efforts in motivating and encouraging our young mechanical engineering aspirants.

The seminar was attended by a total of 18 students and their parents, who were also given the opportunity to visit the Mechanical Engineering Lab and the college library. These visits provided both students and their parents with a firsthand look at the state-of-the-art facilities and resources available at our institution.

The program concluded on a high note, with two participants deciding to book their seats in the Mechanical Engineering Department, inspired by the day's events.Overall, the seminar and lab visit program was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended and further strengthening the appeal of our Mechanical Engineering Department.
