The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Technical Campus, Kilimanoor, organized an Online Career Guidance Session titled “Unlock Your Future” for polytechnic students on 20th April 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM via Google Meet.
The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among diploma students regarding career opportunities, higher education options, skill development, and current industry expectations. The session commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Anju M. R, Assistant Professor, CSE, followed by the presidential address delivered by Dr. C. Brijilal Ruban, Head of the Department, CSE.
The first technical session was handled by Ms. Haritha P. G, Assistant Professor, CSE, who elaborated on various job opportunities after diploma and higher studies, including lateral entry into B. Tech programmes. The second session was led by Ms. Ashily M Baby, Assistant Professor, CSE, focusing on skill development strategies and industry expectations. The session emphasized the importance of technical proficiency, communication skills, and adaptability in the current competitive environment.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Rajalekshmi J, Assistant Professor, CSE. The session was highly informative and beneficial, providing students with clarity on career pathways and motivating them to align their academic pursuits with industry requirements.
