Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Technical Campus, Kilimanoor organized a webinar on Familiarization with KEAM as a part of Vidya Social Outreach Programme (VSOP). The webinar is intended to reach the +2 students and parents of rural areas; by which we can give a clear idea of KEAM 2021. The event was conducted on the virtual platform on June 12th , 2021 (Saturday) at 5 PM IST. The resource person for the webinar was Mr. Dawn Sivan, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, VAST TC. Ms. Anjana. N coordinated the webinar with the support of Er. R. Devarajan (Project Director), Dr. T. Mathavaraj Ravikumar (Principal VAST TC), Mr. Abith Ganesh (VICT Manager), Prof. K. Vijayakumar, Mr. Chandu C.B (Admission Convenor), Mr. Ranjith M. (EEE), Mr. Lenin Babu S. (CE), Mr. Arun Krishna (AS), Mr. Ajayakumar A.G (ME), Mr. Sreejith S Nair(ME), Ms. Ammu G. (ADMN), Ms. Beena V. R (CSE), Media Team, VAST TC and all other faculty and staff members. There was great response for the programme and 205 students joined for the session.
The session started with a welcome note by Ms. Anjana. N who invited the speaker of the session and all participants. Mr. Dawn Sivan gave an overview about KEAM 2021, the important dates for applying KEAM, application fee, eligibility criteria for various categories, supporting documents and certificates needed for each and academic eligibility for applying KEAM. A clear idea regarding the prerequisites for applying online was given. The whole process of applying for KEAM was explained systematically with necessary screenshots and examples. Students asked several queries regarding the application procedure, which was addressed by the speaker. They asked many relevant doubts regarding the uploading issues, and certificates needed for applying. An idea on the KEAM question paper pattern and the marking scheme was given to students. Ms. Anjana. N moderated the entire session. The Webinar organized as a part of Vidya Technical Outreach Programme got wide reach among the +2 students and had a positive impact in spreading the name of Vidya. The programme got a wide coverage through newspapers, channels and social media platforms.
