The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Technical Campus (VAST TC) organized a seminar on “Recent Trends in Information Technology” on 12th March 2026 at the ME Seminar Hall for S2 CSE students.
The session was delivered by Mr. P. Prakash IPS, who currently serves as the Inspector General of Police, State Crime Records Bureau and Nodal Officer, Kerala. The program was organized under the guidance of Brig. Shaji K. S, Academic Director. The event commenced with a welcome address by the Principal Dr. T. Mathavaraj Ravikumar
During the seminar, the resource person shared valuable insights on emerging technologies such as Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Data Science, and Cloud Computing, emphasizing their growing importance and applications in modern industries. Through real-world examples and interactive discussions, students gained a better understanding of current technological developments and the wide range of career opportunities available in the IT sector.
The program concluded with a valedictory address by Brig. Shaji K.S, who expressed appreciation to the resource person for the informative session and encouraged students to stay updated with the latest advancements in technology.
