The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Technical Campus, Kilimanoor, conducted Online Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Meetings for S5 B.Tech CSE A (2024–2028 Batch) on 07 August 2026 and S3 B.Tech CSE B (2025–2029 Batch) on 08 August 2026. The meetings were chaired by Dr. C. Brijilal Ruban, Professor & Head, Department of CSE, with the participation of staff advisors, subject teachers, and parents. The S5 CSE A PTA meeting was coordinated by Prof. Saranya Raj S (AP, CSE), Prof. Anju M R (AP, CSE) and Prof. Nihal Ahammed N (AP, CSE); while S5 CSE B PTA meeting was coordinated by Prof. V Sansya Vijayan (AP, CSE), Prof. Haritha P G (AP, CSE) and Prof. Ajeena H (AP, CSE). The S3 CSE B PTA meeting was coordinated by Prof. Seena Mole J (AP, CSE), Prof. Neenu Mol B S (AP, CSE), and Prof. Veena Prasad D (AP, AS); while the S3 CSE A PTA meeting was coordinated by Prof. Jisha Raj T (AP, CSE), Prof. Sandra S P (AP, CSE), and Prof. Anchu E S (AP, AS).
The meetings primarily focused on the student’s preparation for the First Series Internal Examinations, along with a review of their academic progress and syllabus coverage. The staff advisors and subject teachers discussed examination preparation strategies and emphasized the importance of systematic revision and consistent academic engagement. Parents were also briefed on how they could support their wards in maintaining regular study habits and preparing effectively for the examinations. The faculty members also addressed attendance and leave-related matters, highlighting the importance of regular attendance, consistent participation in classes, and adherence to the prescribed procedures for availing leave. Observations regarding students' classroom participation and academic performance were also shared with the parents.
The PTA meetings provided a platform for parents to interact with faculty members, clarify concerns, and receive guidance regarding their wards' academic progress. The sessions concluded with a shared commitment between the department and parents to support students in their academic activities, examination preparation, and overall development.
