ARMS 2025 – SPACE EXHIBITION AND TECHNICAL TALK

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Technical Campus, Kilimanoor, organized ARMS 2025 featuring a Space Exhibition and Technical Talk in collaboration with the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), ISRO on 26th August 2025 at the Mechanical Seminar Hall.

The exhibition showcased various models of India’s prominent space missions including PSLV, GSLV, and Human Rated Launch Vehicles, which captured the curiosity and imagination of students. LPSC scientists interacted with the participants and explained the underlying concepts of propulsion systems, launch vehicle technology, and upcoming space missions. The event provided students with valuable insights into the nation’s advancements in space science and engineering.

The program commenced with a prayer, followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Dr. Avinash G. S., Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.  The Presidential Address was given by Dr. T. Mathavaraj Ravikumar, Principal, VAST TC. The event was formally inaugurated by Dr. Rijo Jacob Thomas, Dean of Strategic Planning, TKM College of Engineering.

The session concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the Secretary of ARMS. The exhibition and technical talk not only offered an in-depth understanding of space research but also instilled a sense of pride and motivation among the students. By witnessing the innovations and achievements of ISRO, students were encouraged to dream bigger and aspire to contribute to India’s future in space exploration. The successful conduct of ARMS 2025 marked yet another milestone for the Department of Mechanical Engineering, reaffirming its commitment to fostering curiosity, innovation, and technical excellence among students.
