The SAEINDIA VAST TC Kilimanoor Student Chapter was formally inaugurated on Wednesday, 9th September 2026, at the ME Seminar Hall, Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Technical Campus, Kilimanoor. The event was organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Mr. Rony Mohan, Dean of Student Affairs at Bishop Jerome Institute, Kollam, and MC Member of the SAEISS Cochin Division, was the Chief Guest for the occasion. In his inaugural address, he spoke about opportunities for students in the automotive and mobility domain and encouraged members to make active use of the platform for hands-on learning and innovation.

The chapter's Faculty Advisors, Mr. Vishak S L and Mr. Saidali S, along with the newly elected student office bearers — Vishnu Sankar (Chairperson) and Grace P Raju (Secretary) — were present at the inauguration. The event marks the beginning of a new student chapter aimed at fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in automotive engineering.
