On 4th August, 2025, the NSS Unit of VAST TC celebrated World Friendship Day with a thoughtful and eco-friendly initiative. The event focused on strengthening bonds of friendship through a unique gesture—the exchange of plant saplings.
The session was formally inaugurated by Dr. T. Mathavaraj Ravikumar, Principal of VAST TC, who marked the occasion by handing over a small plant to Brigadier Shaji K.S, Director, VAST TC. Mr. Sajeer. A ,NSS Program Officer, VAST TC led the program, ensuring its smooth conduct, while Ms. Archa S ,NSS Volunteer Secretary ,expressed gratitude to all participants with the vote of thanks.
A total of 40 NSS volunteers, along with the Principal and Director, actively participated in the program. Each participant exchanged a small plant with another, symbolizing friendship and shared commitment to nature.
The saplings exchanged during the event will be planted and cared for in the homes of the recipients. These trees will serve as a living memory of friendship, representing care, growth, and sustainability.
