NSS volunteers from Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Technical Campus (VAST-TC), Kilimanoor, along with the NSS Programme Officer, participated in the FACT – Fight Against Cancer Together Orientation Programme 2026–27 organized by KIMSHEALTH CSR in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) at KIMSHEALTH, Thiruvananthapuram on 16 September 2026.

The orientation programme focused on key aspects of cancer awareness, including prevention, early detection, treatment and community support. The session provided the participating NSS volunteers with information and insights to support future cancer awareness initiatives.

Thasni S (S5 CSE A), Karthik S (S5 MECH), and Arjun (S5 MECH) represented VAST-TC at the programme. The participation is expected to support the NSS unit in undertaking awareness activities related to cancer prevention and early detection among students and the wider community.
