The Department of Civil Engineering successfully conducted its Department Techfest “LIVIC 2K26” in association with VEGA 2K26 on 3rd February 2026. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Nayana Gopan (Assistant Professor – Civil Engineering) and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and visitors. The Techfest served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase technical skills, creativity, and innovative engineering concepts beyond regular academics.
A variety of technical and interactive events were organized as part of the fest, including TEKTON, TRANSITO, AQUAVISTA, ECOSTRUCT, MECHANICS ERA, Building Materials Expo, Brain Grid, Bridge Modelling Competition, Craft Stability Modelling, CIVIQUIZ, and a REVIT Workshop. Students presented working and still models of civil engineering structures, sustainable building concepts, transportation infrastructure, hydraulic systems, and eco-friendly construction techniques. Interactive events such as Mechanics Era and Brain Grid enhanced participants’ analytical and problem-solving skills, while the Bridge Modelling Competition encouraged creativity and practical engineering application.
The Building Materials Expo provided hands-on exposure to modern construction materials and safety practices, and the REVIT Workshop introduced students to advanced BIM-based design tools. Several external participants and school students also took part in selected events, making the Techfest lively and inclusive.
The programme provided students with valuable practical exposure, strengthened their technical acumen, and encouraged teamwork and innovation. LIVIC 2K26 concluded as a grand success, reflecting the dedication and enthusiasm of the students and faculty of the Civil Engineering Department.
