The Civil Innovation Club organized a Paper Bridge Challenge on 19 September 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with participation from students in S1 CE and S3 CE. The activity allowed students to explore fundamental concepts of structural engineering, load distribution, stability, and material efficiency through a simple hands-on challenge. Participants were tasked with designing and constructing the strongest possible bridge using paper, encouraging them to apply creativity, engineering principles, and problem-solving skills within the given constraints.

The programme promoted teamwork, innovative thinking, practical learning, and an understanding of structural behaviour. Students actively participated in the challenge and demonstrated enthusiasm in transforming an ordinary material like paper into a functional structural model. The Paper Bridge Challenge successfully connected classroom concepts with practical application, making learning engaging and experiential for the participating students.
