A group of 42 final-year diploma students from the Mechanical Engineering Department of MGM Polytechnic participated in a training program on Autodesk Fusion 360, hosted by Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Technical Campus. The program was conducted in the Mechanical Seminar Hall and provided a blend of technical insights and hands-on experience.The event commenced with a warm welcome and an introductory session by Mr. Arun K L, Head of the Department in Charge of Mechanical Engineering. He presented an overview of the department, highlighting its state-of-the-art lab facilities, notable alumni achievements, and excellent placement records.
As part of the program, Mr. Rahul Raj conducted a briefing on the Lateral Entry Test (LET) exam. The session provided the students with valuable guidance on the syllabus and question patterns, equipping them with essential knowledge for their upcoming exams.The highlight of the training program was a session on Autodesk Fusion 360, conducted by Mr. Sajith Krishnan R. Students were introduced to the capabilities of the software, followed by a hands-on workshop in the FOSS Lab. The training covered the fundamentals of 3D modeling, providing students with practical skills applicable in the industry.The program was meticulously coordinated by Mr. Avinash G S and Mr. Rahul Raj, ensuring smooth execution and an enriching experience for the students.The event concluded with a group photo and a feedback session. Students expressed their satisfaction with the training, praising the practical approach and the valuable insights provided into 3D modeling and the Mechanical Department.
