Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Technical Campus (VAST TC), Kilimanoor, conducted ABHYUDAYA 2026 – Student Induction Programme (SIP) for the newly admitted first-year B.Tech students from 10 to 20 August 2026. Organised under the theme “Rise. Learn. Excel.”, the programme was designed to provide students with a smooth transition into professional engineering education and to familiarise them with the academic, professional and personal development opportunities available at the institution.
The programme commenced on 10 August 2026 with the inaugural session “Engineering Beyond Boundaries.” Mr. Kishore Kumar, Director & CTO, Ospyn Technologies Pvt. Ltd., was the Chief Guest, while Dr. Manu J. Pillai, Dean, Training & Placement, TKM College of Engineering, served as the Key Facilitator. Dr. Shilpa T. R, Senior Consultant Psychologist, participated as the Wellness Expert. The sessions focused on professional growth, career opportunities, personal well-being and the importance of developing a positive and purposeful approach to engineering education.
An awareness programme titled “CHOOSE LIFE – Stay Strong. Stay Drug Free” was conducted with Mr. Radhakrishnan Pillai, Preventive Officer, Excise Circle Office, Attingal, highlighting the consequences of substance abuse and the importance of responsible decision-making. Students were also sensitized to anti-ragging regulations, cyber safety, gender equality and emergency preparedness.Conducted under the guidance of Dr. Ansamma John, Principal, VAST TC, ABHYUDAYA 2026 was coordinated by Prof. Sreejitha S. G, Prof. Adithya G. S. and Prof. Chandu C. B, with the active support of batch advisors, department coordinators and faculty members across the institution.
With its wide range of academic, professional, social, safety, wellness and co-curricular activities, ABHYUDAYA 2026 provided the new B.Tech students with a comprehensive orientation to campus life and engineering education. The programme connected academic planning with innovation, entrepreneurship, career development, professional ethics, digital awareness, personal well-being, mentoring and social responsibility, establishing a strong foundation for the students' four-year engineering journey.
