Each and every year Vayanavaram is celebrating from 19^th June 2025 to 25^th June 2025 by the Government of Education, State of Kerala in memory of P.N Panikkar (demised on 19 June 1995), the father of Library Movement in Kerala. The Central Library Conducted Essay Writing Competition and Shri P.N Panikkar remembrance function on 25 June 2025. We have selected higher secondary students of six dominant schools near to our college. Wide publicity was given through print media. 68 Selected students participated in the Malayalam Essay writing competition from VVHSS Poredam,NSS HSS Madavoor, MMHSSS Nilamel, RRVGHSS, Kilimanoor, Govt HSS Kilimanoor, GOVT HSS Thattathumala .The topic was “ലഹരി ഉപയോഗം : ആശങ്കയും പ്രതിരോധവും”.

All the 68 students duly selected by the school authorities written the given topic in high standards. Out of them, the following students were selected as school toppers by the jury panel duly constituted for the purpose. High Tea is arranged to all participants in the Malayalam Essay Writing Competition. Six toppers, one from each of the six participating schools, were given a presentation prize, thoughtfully arranged by the Central Library Team.
