The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Technical Campus (VAST TC), Kilimanoor, successfully organized an enlightening seminar on “The Role of AI & ML in Industry” on October 15, 2025.

The event served as a valuable platform for students and faculty to gain practical insights into the rapidly evolving domains of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

The session was led by Ms. Anna Michael, AI Director at Wells Fargo, Bangalore, and a distinguished leader in AI-based solutions. Drawing from her extensive industry experience, Ms. Anna Michael shared deep insights on how global organizations are leveraging AI and ML for predictive modelling, process optimization, and enhancing customer experience in the financial and technology sectors.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Ms.Beena V. R., Assistant Professor, CSE, followed by a presidential address by Dr.C.Brijilal Ruban, Head of the Department, CSE, who emphasized the department’s commitment to nurturing industry-ready talent through continuous learning and exposure to emerging technologies.

The event concluded with an interactive feedback session from S7 CSE students, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Ms.Anju.M.R., Assistant Professor, CSE.

The department extended its heartfelt gratitude to Ms.Anna Michael for sharing her time, knowledge, and expertise, making the session both insightful and inspiring for the entire academic community.
