The Department of Civil Engineering, Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Technical Campus, Kilimanoor, organized a seminar on “Building Professional Excellence” on 22 September 2026 at the Civil Seminar Hall. The programme focused on creating awareness among budding civil engineers about the role of professional bodies and the importance of professional membership in shaping a successful engineering career. The session highlighted how active association with professional organizations can help students develop professional networks, technical knowledge, industry awareness and career opportunities. Students of S1 CE and S3 CE participated enthusiastically in the programme and gained valuable insights into the importance of becoming actively involved in the professional community from the early stages of their academic journey.

The seminar served as an inspiring platform for students to understand that professional excellence extends beyond academic knowledge, encouraging them to connect with professional bodies and prepare themselves for a dynamic and rewarding career in civil engineering.
