Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Technical Campus, Kilimanoor, hosted the remarkable Graduation Day for the eighth outgoing batch on 31 August 2024. Dr. Saji Gopinath, Vice Chancellor APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University of Kerala was the Chief Guest and Sri. Sabu Soumian, Chairman VICT was the President of the function.210 students registered and participated in the graduation ceremony. The students along with their family members witnessed the unforgettable event in the history of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Technical Campus.The Chief Guest, President of the function, Principal and other dignitaries were ushered to the stage with the academic procession led by the band. The invocation to God was done by Bilahari.S of S7 CE and Dr. T Mathavaraj Ravikumar, Principal delivered the Welcome address.Dr. Saji Gopinath delivered the graduation address. He remembered that the current batch started during the time of the COVID pandemic. The system of online education, google classrooms and online meetings started with the 2020-24 batch. This batch has overcome all the hurdles and has come out with flying colors. Sir encouraged students to gather more technical knowledge and excel in their respective field. Dr. T. Mathavaraj Ravikumar, Principal presented the memento to the Chief Guest as a token of love and respect towards him.Brig. K. S. Shaji, Director presented the toppers of each branch. The award of course completion certificates for the 2020-24 batch students were distributed branch wise.Dr.K. Sargunan, HoD Civil Engineering Department presented the candidates and Sri, Manu Regurajan (Secretary, VICT), Sri. D. Prajaraj (Regional Coordinator, South Kerala Region VICT), Mr. Arun K.L. (HoD Mechanical Engineering Department) and Dr.Pravin Rose.T (HoD, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department) distributed the certificates. 55 students of Civil Engineering Department participated in the function.Dr. Brijilal Ruban C HoD Computer Science Engineering Department presented the students and Brig. K.S. Shaji (Director, VAST TC), Dr. Jayarenjini N. (HoD, Electronics and Communication Engineering Department) and Ms. Anitha Vijayan (Trustee Coordinator, VICT) distributed the certificates. 54 students of Computer Science Engineering department participated in the ceremony. Shaji (Director, VICT) distributed the certificates. 34 students participated in the ceremony.Dr. Pravin Rose T, HoD Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering presented the students and Dr. C. Brijilal Ruben (HoD, Computer Science Engineering) and Dr. L. S. Jayanthi (HoD, Applied Science Department) distributed the certificates. 25 students participated in the ceremony from EEE department.Mr. Arun K.L., HoD Mechanical Engineering Department presented the students and Dr. T. Mathavaraj Ravikumar (Principal VAST TC) and Dr. K. Sargunan (HoD, Civil Engineering Department) distributed the certificates. 32 students from Mechanical Engineering Department participated in the ceremony.
The Graduation Pledge was administered by the President of the function and the ceremony concluded with the National Anthem. The academic procession returned leaded by the band and later a photo session was arranged with the students and the respective staffs of each department. The college management also arranged a sumptuous lunch for the whole gathering. The event was co-ordinated and well organised under the guidance of the graduation day Convener Dr. C.Brijilal Ruban.
